Ten years ago I was a member of a mastermind group. I listened intently to 4 professionals that called themselves speakers, a few were also known as coaches and / or  consultants. They were all authors, one was working with a publisher on her new book, One woman was creating high end programs for clients. Another was creating a new website.  One guy wrote 5 books, training programs, and even created a line of clothing to promote his brand.

As I spoke with these colleagues every month I learned what it was like to be a solo entrepreneur. They had to create their own products, services and marketing campaigns with their unique messages plus secure  engagements and run their day to day business and have a life as well.

Many belonged National Speakers Association as continuing education. They participated in “Speakers Showcases” giving their 10 minute presentations in hopes someone in the audience would hire them for their upcoming conference or conventions.

I thought there has to be a easier way for this type of person to be known as the Expert.
