The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Outreach team is looking for volunteers to write letters of encouragement and hope to our first responders and patients at Tampa General Hospital.
As you know, many patients are left by themselves, lonely and in the care of strangers. If any of you have been to the hospital lately the scenery is not what we were used to. Patients for the most are left by themselves, and without any interaction from the world. Some might no even have cellular phones, TVs, nor iPads or computers. In such a difficult time, we are asking our Hispanic Community to join forces with our team and the Tampa General Hospital in South Tampa.
They are receiving letter of hope for their patients and the staff. If you feel compelled please write and encouraging letter to:
Tampa General Hospital

PO Box 1289

Spanish written letters are encouraged as well. Please take a picture and send it to: aishka.lugo@tampahispanicchamber.com

MAKING TOOL FOR PARENTS

School Decision-Making Tool for Parents, Caregivers, and Guardians
Many parents, caregivers, and guardians face new and difficult choices about how their child will return to school in the fall, such as deciding between in-person and virtual learning.
This tool is designed to help parents, caregivers, and guardians weigh the risks and benefits of available educational options to help them make decisions about sending their child back to school. It is organized to provide parents and caregivers with:
- Information on COVID-19 and why safely reopening schools is so critical.
- Tools to:
- Help you assess your child’s and your family’s risk of COVID-19;
- Consider factors that will help you make a choice, if offered, of instructional format (e.g. virtual, in person, or a hybrid option); and
- Prepare for the school year, regardless of format.
