It takes 6 to 8 brand touches to at least gain awareness with your prospective clients.
According to Online Marketing...
It takes 7 to 10 touches to deliver a qualified sales lead.
According to Microsoft...
50% of sales people give up after 1 contact.
89% of sales people give up after 4 contacts.
BUT with the 5 contact you start to become a "factor in your prospective client's mind."
And around CONTACT 9, the prospective client sees you enough to hire you.
Oh, I wish I knew the mix of service providers versus product providers in the surveys of Salesforce, Online Marketing or Microsoft, but I don't.
However, it is clear that it takes time to build relationships and trust that leads to getting clients.
