2021 is a great year to take on the role as President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay. I am truly honored by the trust that has been instilled in me and proud to serve in this capacity for two more years.
I have been involved with the Chamber since 2015, in many ways including, leading the charity committee, 2016 Secretary to the Board of Directors and during a two-year term as Vice President, 2017- 2018, which brought me to the President position today since January 2019. We will continue building relationships with our Hispanic community and within the Business Entrepreneurial field. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay does not only belong to the Hispanics, but to all in Tampa Bay no matter what language they speak.

I will continue to develop our Scholarship Fund Program Adelante, Empresario Emprendedor business grant program, Prestigio Hispano Awards (Hispanic Prestige) and today officially announcing our weekly podcast named after our current program Empresario Emprendedor. We will continue to build relationship with the Hillsborough Economy Development Corporation, State and County Government, also create meaningful alliances with different industries, Chambers in Central Florida and adjacent cities.
Understanding that Tampa Bay is under a massive industry growth, I will also focus on partnering with the Manufacturing and Information Technology industries. We need to gain a stronger voice in order to be a part of the decision-making process of Tampa Bay development and growth. That is my commitment.
Tampa Bay is currently the most desirable market for business growth and relocation. We must take advantage of this phenomenal momentum to help position new companies in this market. We have plenty of great business-building opportunities coming up, not even COVID has stop us, and the future looks wonderful.
I am humble and honored to be part of this great chamber.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay.

PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM
|
|
SBA, in consultation with the U.S. Treasury Department, reopened the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for First Draw PPP Loans the week of January 11, 2021. SBA will begin accepting applications for Second Draw PPP Loans on January 13, 2021.
To promote access for smaller lenders and their customers, SBA will initially only accept Second Draw PPP Loan applications from participating community financial institutions (CFIs), which include Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs), Certified Development Companies (CDCs), and Microloan Intermediaries. Paycheck Protection Program lending will reopen to all participating lenders shortly thereafter. At least $25 billion is being set aside for Second Draw PPP Loans to eligible borrowers with a maximum of 10 employees or for loans of $250,000 or less to eligible borrowers in low or moderate income neighborhoods.
Borrowers can be matched with qualified PPP lenders using SBA Lender Match. For more information click the link below.

With its balmy weather and steadily growing economy, Florida has a ton of entrepreneurial appeal. If you’re interested in striking out on your own, the Sunshine State is an excellent place to get a brand-new business going.
Starting a new company demands commitment and vision, but it also requires a key decision: You’ll need to determine which kind of business entity to create. And if you’ve done any initial research on the subject, you’ve probably heard of the business structure known as an LLC.
LLC stands for limited liability company, a type of business with several distinct benefits. Each state has its procedures for forming LLCs, and Florida has a slightly different process than many other places. All this may sound a bit complicated, but you’re in the perfect place.
If you’re unsure whether to start your LLC formation and where to begin in the state of Florida, this step-by-step guide will walk you through everything you need to get your company going. We’ll also share key information about taxation and other aspects of operating a Florida LLC.
To get started, take a look at the following five simple steps to starting an LLC in Florida
