Watching the determination of an author writing their book is very much like watching a bird building its nest in preparation for the hatching of its eggs. As the author finds the perfect adjective or conjunctive phrase, so does the bird find the perfect bit of straw or string to bind everything together. As the hatchlings emerge, life awaits, and they have three choices in front of them.
