Tonight is the first night of prayers called Taraweeh. Tomorrow I begin the fast from sunrise to sunset. That means no water or food during those hours. So what does it mean and why would anyone do that?
This is the most precious time of the year to me because it is a soul detox. The healing that I put off that becomes the unbearable space which is my home...my spirit self. This year I have decided that it will be my hard reset for only peace and no longer allowing space for chaos. I am committing to restructuring my nervous system, muscle memory, sensory memory, emotional memory and all parts back to whole. Does that make sense?
A few years ago I wrote a book about how to prepare your body for a long hot Ramadan as it was a more than 17 hour fast in the summer heat. That book is called
Ramadan Food Hacks. It allows alludes to some spiritual prep and maintenance ideas during the month. Now all of these years later that I am moving towards becoming an ND I have a different view and may rewrite it in the future. For now it is a great resource.
I am sending this email for and I am curious...
Did you know that Ramadan is the name of a month on the Islamic calendar? Did you know that there is an Islamic calendar?
What else would you like to know about Ramadan? Do you work with Muslims or have Muslims clients?
