Transformational Leadership Webinar
Tuesday, October 25

It has been over 5 decades since Robert Greenleaf first wrote about Servant Leadership, and more than 42 years since James McGregor Burns first contradicted transactional leaders versus the transformational leader. Yet today, still the most prominent style of leadership has carried over from the industrial revolution which is called the Command-and-Control style of Leadership.
Sure, more and more leaders are calling themselves Servant leaders, transformational leaders and even authentic leaders, but the facts remain most organizations are still ruled by the command-and-control style. Goals do matter, deadlines need to exist, but how we go about inspiring, rather than motivating our workforce has become more important than ever. To get the most out of our people, generate more creativity and reduce turnover, we would be wise to enlist the 4 I’s of Transformational Leadership, recognized by Bernie Bass, which are:
- Idealized Influence
- Individual Consideration
- Inspirational Motivation
- Intellectual Stimulation
Taking a people centric approach to leading does not mean we don’t create objectives, goals and hold people accountable. What it means is that while we are holding ourselves accountable to a higher standard, we can consider the needs of the workforce which will lead to our desired outcomes. If the main role of a leader is to create more leaders, applying the transformational principles will get that job done.
In this 45-minute webinar, you will learn what it takes to become a transformational leader. The principles may be different than any you have heard before. To become a transformational leader, we need to breakdown the pretense of being the smartest person in the room and lead with Humility, Empathy and Vulnerability. Influence rather than dominate with power, practice equity rather than equality, and provide the tools that inspires a growth, rather than a fixed mindset.
