Summer in February? Yes!
Dear Friends,
It might be cold outside for some in the midwest and the east coast. For others, it's a "dry heat" -84 degrees (I'm in California right now).
Wherever you are, it doesn't matter, as we're thinking SUMMER in the Hamptons!
We're taking "book" reservations for the placement of books in our hotels in the Hamptons. COVID or not, the Hamptons will be filled with vacationers, celebrities, and the media from Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and beyond. It used to be 100 days of summer, however now, it's really all year long, and Bedside Reading is there!
See our books below summering in MARRAM in Montauk!

Pillow Talk! Conversations with Authors
In our previous newsletters, we have showcased some of our authors who are also lawyers. This month, we'd like to share a few Q&A's with
Bedside Reading author (and lawyer!) Adriana Gavazzoni.
|
|
Q: How did you begin writing?
A: I've been writing since I was very young. At twelve, I wrote my first romance and destroyed it as I was afraid people would read it.
Q: Why do you think that being a lawyer and an author complement one another?
A: A lawyer is a storyteller. We have to tell our clients' stories in order to defend them. In Brazil, we have to write those stories, so I think every lawyer is a writer of non-fiction.
Q: Are you working on another book? If so, what is the topic?
A: Yes I'm working on two new novels. One is about a young woman whose boyfriend was killed by a corrupt politician. She gives up her career as a federal agent of revenue and becomes a lawyer and as an attorney, she will have to face the corrupt Brazilian system.
The other is another sequel to my trilogy Hidden Motives. It is the story of a psychiatrist specializing in paraphilias.
Q: Who is your favorite author? (does not have to be a lawyer…) TAKE THIS OUT
A: It is hard to say, so many good authors. Classic ones like Emily Brontë, Morris West, Colleen McCullough, moderns like the South African author Angela Shearer, Paula Hawkins, and of course John Grisham.
Q: What can you imagine might be your third career?!
A: A tango dancer! Or a painter, I would love to spend some time in Paris learning how to paint or maybe how to cook.
