Have you heard? The stats are out and 40% of Americans have gained between 15 and 30 pounds since the pandemic started. That is on top of the 43% of us that were overweight before lockdowns and extra stress.

 

Emotional eating is HUGE! We drown our sorrows in ice cream, love each other through food, snack together, and celebrate happy moments with food. 

Enough already.....

 

Give yourself permission to STOP!

 

Permission to Stop eating when not hungry

Or stressed,

Or anxious,

Or bored,

Or excited,

or happy.

Permission to Stop eating what everyone else is eating and eat what is good for your body.

 

Permission to Stop eating when you are satisfied that your body has enough fuel.

 

This doesn't require Joyless eating.

 

Give yourself permission to care for your body without overeating.

 

Give yourself permission to experience joy in taking good care of yourself, and making healthy choices with every bite.

 

Take the first step.

 

Give yourself permission to stop and listen hard to what your body is whispering to you way deep down in your core, because that is where your true needs are revealed.

 

This all sounds easy and it's not. I know it's not because I have been there eating all the things and the stuff to make myself emotionally feel better or at least numb out any possibility of feeling my uncomfortable feelings.

 

It seemed easier to feel stuffed and uncomfortable from overeating than actually feeling my scary emotions. Sometimes I still feel this way.

 

Over time, I have learned to take different non-food-related actions until I can understand and face what emotions are swirling, like walking my dogs.

 

After working with so many amazing women and building a strong community of support, I know I am not alone and you don’t have to be either.

 

Our program is simple, to follow using real food from the grocery store or your favorite restaurants. We explore emotional connections with food and make self-care a high priority.
