We ALL Scream for guilt free Ice Cream!

from Scale the Limit - enjoy!

 It's time for vacations, summer celebrations, and lots of Screaming for Ice Cream on these hot days.

 

 

If you are new to Scale the Limit, welcome to our community and if you’ve been hanging with us for a bit, Please know that we appreciate you!

 

I’m Karen Que and I have always loved ice cream. Growing up my parents would plan family trips around stopping at best local creameries and ice cream shops along the way.

 

I have fond memories of my grandfather stopping at 9 am making us pile out of the car to indulge in some breakfast ice cream.I remember getting a double-dip of my favorite mint chocolate chip which I still love today!

 

I founded Scale the Limit to help women like you learn to lose weight and control the scale while doing everything else that life also requires by making good self-care choices even in the hard moments when you are being pushed to the max.

 

Losing and maintaining weight does not mean never having ice cream again. It means making choices about what kind, when, and how much at one time, while also considering how you want to feel when you do have it.

 

When I want something cold and sweet without ALL the added sugar of regular ice cream I love a good fruit sorbet. It's a wonderful alternative to enjoy some icey goodness and know that you are making good self-care choices.

 

Here’s a favorite recipe that I share on page 138 of our Sugar is the Devil Inspirational Cookbook, which is healthy, satisfying, and can be an easy swap for ice cream. AND....IT'S EASY TO MAKE!

Ingredients:

• 1-2 C of frozen pitted Cherries 

• 1 Wedge of lemon, Lime, or Orange

• Optional Mint leaves

• Blender or Food Processor

Instructions:

1. Place frozen cherries into a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Add fresh lemon juice or a squeeze of orange or lime to taste. Garnish with mint leaves and Enjoy!

 

This makes one serving so feel free to double or triple the quantities as needed for a shared treat.

 

Alternatives are frozen raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. Just watch out for seeds.
