After your fun summer of activities, reuniting with friends and family, taking trips, and emerging back into the world, it’s back-to-school season.
Whether you have school-aged kids or not, we all feel this seasonal transition upon us.
As we move into this holiday weekend and get ready for fall, it’s a great time to check in with yourself.
Don’t blow this off, I mean REALLY check-in, quiet yourself, breathe deeply, and listen to yourself.
Here's 3 questions to help you discover and assess how you are feeling:
1. How does my body feel physically?
Are you full of energy, feeling like your food choices are fueling your life, and ready for what is next or are you feeling slow, tired, worn out and achy?
2. How are you feeling emotionally?
Are you upbeat, smiling a lot, and ready for what life has brewing for you, or are you low, wishing you feel better, and knowing you need a change?
3. What would make this next season amazing for you?
What are you wishing for, dreaming about, or wanting more than anything?
I use this check-in quite often, and when I’m feeling great, I use that as an opportunity to CELEBRATE myself because it means my self-care well is full.
When my answers indicate that I’m not at my best, it’s time to make different choices and reach out for support to refuel and feel better so that I can give more, serve better, and Celebrate with more enthusiasm.
