WE DID IT!!!
I cannot express the joy and gratitude that I feel. Last night, during the NSA 50th Anniversary Celebration Banquet, I was announced as being inducted into the NSA Speaker Hall of Fame. Family, WE DID IT!!!! We are now CPAE.
It was such a phenomenal experience, as my mentor and friend - Dr. Willie Jolley - introduced me and awarded me. It was even greater because Dr. Les Brown was in the audience. These 2 are the reason that I broke into the speaking industry how I did. Talk about a defining moment!
I know that my beautiful mother was watching me from heaven. And my father, although unable to be in the room physically, has heard all about it and is extremely proud of me. I've continued to build the name that HE gave me and honoring his legacy is vital to me.
My daughters, my students, my brother, close friends, some of my staff, and an amazing array of talent were all in the room. To say that I am blessed and grateful is a grave understatement.
WE DID IT!!! That's all I can say.
Now, we prepare for our 20th Speakerversary Gala Celebration tonight! We'll talk soon!
